.:NEWS:.

=Shadowrulz3164 really needs our help! He and Zipper could use your assistance. Be sure to read his journal and help if you can.

In other news, I'm really growing tired of the online equine community, not here on DA but on a few of the other sites that I frequent. Everything is "fake", especially if you're a decent photographer or own a nice horse and it just gets insulting! Also there is constant bickering because no one can relent on the fact that they don't know absolutely everything and sometimes you are just wrong. The sad thing is that it just isn't people on the internet, I've met several horse people in real life that are the exact same. Kind of sad really.

Anywho, sorry for the rant but yeah, I'm just tired of it.

I'm still not feeling particularly artistic, I dunno what's wrong with me but at least I'm having some good ideas coming forth with Cynder's story. I should have the second chapter coming along tonight if Colt isn't too much of a pest.

.:GAMBIT INFO:.

:star:Gambit:star:

Gender: gelding
Height: roughly 14.2hh
Weight: hmm, about 800-900 lbs
Age: 2 y/o
Breed: Appaloosa with quarter and thoroughbred lines (Looking Mystic x Jodis Copper Dreamer)
Color and Markings: Chestnut (I say sorrel) with 2 twin hind socks and an irregular blaze and has light roaning in his coat.

Bio:
Gambit was born to Jodis Copper Dreamer on August 8th of 2005. He has become a bit of an outcast to his breeding line, being the only solid foal thrown from his sire out of 15 or so foals, but he does not shame that line. He carries the sweet nature of his father and the lean frame of his thoroughbred lined mother. He's also the baby, being the last foal of Magic for perhaps forever. Magic's owner is undecided on whether or not he will continue breeding.

As a foal, Gambit grew to strength in a herd. At age six months, he was brought up for weaning but would not do so easily. He managed to jump his 5 ft corral, twice, to make it back to his dam. Soon though, he was placed in an inescapable corral and was left to grow into a young colt, without much handling due to his previous owners' busy work schedule.

At the age of 10 months, Gambit was introduced and given to me after I had recently lost my previous horse because of some unfair people. Let's just say, I will never board again without a signed document..."friends" betray their word. He'd never been handled before so getting the halter on him was a bit of a job but within a week's time, he and I were beginning as a team. After almost a year together, Gambit has grown into a capable young horse with a sweet personality and an eagerness to please. Soon, we shall be starting on light under saddle training, once he turns 2, and by 3, we will be starting trail and other work. I look forward to seeing our friendship/partnership grow into something truly amazing.

Gambit and I have been progressing even more as a team and have successfully started saddle training. With less than 10 ride under his belt, he's already riding like a fully trained 5 year old. I can't wait until next summer so we can enjoy long peaceful trail rides together!

Oh yeah I know what you mean.

I don't think anybody could ever know everything there is to know about horses. It just isn't possible. :(

I'll go look at their page.

yeah I know how you feel about the horse people who think they know everything. There's this girl in my fourth period A-day class and she told the teacher: "I know there's everything to know about horses, I'm never wrong"
I was like ok WTF? who are you to tell the teacher that in the first place and second: I'm pretty sure the teacher has gone to college so you have no place to talk. I can't stand that girl. She's had two horses who were in the top of their prime and now they both have leg problems. It's sad because i knew one of her horses and he was the soundest thing I saw. and she doesn't think it's her fault from riding them so hard. all the barns they were staying at closed down (it was the only way to get rid of them. now that's sad) lol sorry for the mini rant in you're journal. ^^;
oh and I'm loving you're Cynder story.

I'm gonna go read your friends journal now.

freedom, together
Well first off the story about Cynder was quite interesting to read... and secondly the people who can't live believeing they don't know everything is really exasperating and it get's absolutely exhausting. I agree. Fortunately I haven't run into too many of those places..
Now I'll go find out about Larreh.
